We celebrated our Golden Jubilee year in the presence of our long term business partners, Board of Directors of our subsidiaries and joint venture companies’ and our colleagues, who have been supporting, guiding and contributing to the success of Mun Siong since our establishment in 1969. It was a nostalgic day for us as we looked back on our key milestones that brought us to where we are today.
Key Milestones
There were many notable events that led us to grow and become what we are today. In the speech of our Executive Director, Mr. Quek Kian Hui, “In 1969 Mun Siong Engineering started off only having a small operational crew to execute mechanical work in Bukom Island, followed by projects in Malaysia and Indonesia. We have since widened our range of services to include plant construction, electrical & instrumentation installation, tank construction and repair, specialized services, scaffolding, rotating equipment repair and overhauling as well as engineering design. Our global footprint has also increased since our establishment. Today, we have operations in Malaysia, Myanmar, India, Taiwan and USA.”

At our celebration dinner, we expressed our appreciation to our Independent Directors for their unwavering contributions, guidance and support over the years with tokens of appreciation.

Commitment from Employees – Key Contributors to Our Success
Our employees are huge contributors to our success. Their unwavering support and loyalty to our company throughout the good and bad times have made a difference to our growth. We gave recognition to our employees who are celebrating 20 years of service this year at our Gala Dinner event. Mr Shyamol Shaha Binoy Bhuson Shaha and Mr Kamal Wahed Miaji received their recognition for 20 years of service with Mun Siong.
Looking Forward
Moving forward to our next milestone, we are excited for what the future brings. Mr. Quek Kian Hui added: “We are ever investing in new technology. As of now, we have a semi-automated pipe spool production line which is going to further improve our productivity and consistency. We are also always investing in new technology for tankage repair and construction work and we have always been the leader for hydro jetting and retubing services within Singapore. These will allow us to have sustainable growth for the future. With all that in mind, I believe that together we look forward to the next successful 50 years of Mun Siong Engineering.”
