Updated: Jul 8, 2019

Mun Siong Engineering has awarded a S$15,000 Scholarship to the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). Mun Siong Engineering’s Executive Chairlady Cheng Woei Fen said, “The purpose of the Mun Siong – SUTD Scholarship is to pay it forward and invest in our future Engineers as there is a pressing need for highly skilled professionals in the process industry.”

The scholarship will provide for 1 year of study for a full-time undergraduate in their Junior year of study from SUTD’s Engineering Systems and Design pillar as well as a 16 week internship program. Mr. Chok Yuen Soon, Human Resource Manager said, “In our field of business, on-site experience is essential because it provides a first-hand experience of the business’s day to day operations. This is a great opportunity for students to put what they’ve learned to practice and develop an appreciation for the industry. We will continue to make progress and ensure Mun Siong a conducive place for undergraduate internship programs in the coming years.”

This initiative is also a part of Mun Siong Engineering’s 50th Anniversary Jubilee celebrations this year as Mun Siong Engineering continues to show its support towards education and building a strong talent pool fit for the future.

Apart from the Mun Siong – SUTD Scholarship, Mun Siong Engineering has awarded a S$20,000 Bursary to the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) in 2014 to encourage and support undergraduates in financial need at SIT.
