We are committed to taking due care and interest in the environmental, health and safety concerns of our employees, customers, contractors, suppliers and the public. The mission of our SHE Department is to ensure that our Group meets and maintains all safety standards applicable to the oil and gas industry (especially those of our customers) and promotes awareness of work safety amongst the Group's direct employed staff.
Meeting and maintaining the safety standards applicable to the oil and gas industry
(a) OHSAS 18001
Prior to 2008, the oil and gas industry adheres to the Safety Checklist for Contractor or SCC standard. This was replaced by the OHSAS 18001 or Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series ("OHSAS") in February 2008. Our Group has achieved OHSAS 18001 in February 2008 and has since successfully cleared the annual audit.
(b) ISO 14001
The Company is also accredited with the ISO 14001 standard in April 2006 and has since successfully cleared the annual audit.
(c) BIZSAFE
This is an accreditation that is certified by the Workplace Safety and Health Council, an organization that is affiliated with the MOM. In 2010, our Company was accredited with bizSAFE Star status.
SHE Objectives
1. Safety
To achieve zero incidents, based on the incident statistics.
2. Health
To identify health risks that the workers face, and ensure these risks are kept to a (acceptable level) minimum.
3. Environment
To monitor the usage of resources, and keep wastage to a minimum.
