History

Our Company was incorporated in Singapore on 30 April 1969 under the name "Mun Siong Engineering Private Limited" as a private limited company under the Companies Act. On 8th October 2010, in conjunction with the listing of our Company on the Official List of SGX-ST, our Company was converted into a public company limited by shares and our name was changed to Mun Siong Engineering Limited.

Mun Siong Engineering's first customer then was a multi-national petroleum company at an island to the south of Singapore. Our growth was fuelled by the Singapore government's drive to play a key role in the energy sector through its status as a major refining and petrochemicals centre for South East Asia.

During the 90's, Mun Siong has positioned ourselves to be one of the prominent mechanical maintenance service providers in the local market. We were successfully recognised by the local oil majors to be their resident long term maintenance service provider.

In 2000 we acquired OHM Engineering Pte Ltd. The acquisition was a major step forward for our Company. After the acquisition of OHM Engineering, we expanded our range of services to include electrical and instrumentation services. Through the acquisition, we were able to provide our expanded scope of services to our existing customer base as well as to take on new customers.

The current Board of Directors comprised of Cheng Woei Fen who has joined the Company since 1979, Quek Chiau Liong who has joined the Company since 1992 and was further strengthened with the appointments of both Lin Yan and Chris Lim Choon Wah in 2009.
