Established in April 1969, Mun Siong began doing plant maintenance works for Shell Eastern Petroleum Private Limited at Pulau Bukom. In the early 1970s, Singapore's petrochemical industry experienced a large growth with major oil refiners including Shell, Mobil, Esso and Singapore Petroleum Company making sizable capital investments. Spurred by such promising development, Mun Siong expanded from focusing solely on maintenance works, to participating in constructions with large MNCs. Since then, we have successfully completed numerous prestigious construction projects both overseas and with the local refineries.

In year 1981, Mun Siong was awarded the contract for the entire Platformer II Complex construction project at Shell Port Dickson, Malaysia. Since then, Mun Siong has re-positioned ourselves. Besides expanding our construction capabilities beyond the boundaries of Singapore, we began to specialize in providing niche maintenance services such as hydro-jetting and re-tubing for our established clients.

Mun Siong had evolved and grown into an integrated Engineering, Maintenance and construction Service Provider through concentric diversification and strategic acquisitions. In year 2000, Mun Siong acquired Ohm Engineering Pte Ltd to provide electricity and instrumentation work. This vertical integration has enabled Mun Siong to provide one-stop maintenance cum construction services in mechanical, electrical and instrumentation work.

In November 2001, Mun Siong was proud to be recognized as one of the top 50 Enterprises in Singapore. We are confident to provide quality services to the Process Industry locally as well as regionally.

Mun Siong is certified for ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007. In March 2010, both Mun Siong and Ohm have acquired the bizSAFE. As a testament to our progress over the past 10 years, we had received the MOM Safety Performance Award and numerous awards from our valued customers in appreciation of us completing all works in a timely and safe fashion.
